SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS!

Six women met in September to pack personal care kits and school kits to be delivered along with a few hand made quilts and boxes of soap to the Lutheran World Relief boxcar downtown Milwaukee on October 14.  These supplies along with thousands of donations from other groups will be taken to LWR warehouses to be distributed worldwide to areas that desperately need help.  Our LWML has also pledged to send to LWR the amount of money that is suggested to cover the costs of shipping the kits and supplies.  If you would like to help the LWML with this project, please put your donation in an envelope in the offering marked "LWML for Shipping".  We thank you!
Our group also voted at the meeting, to continue to support Missionary

Rev. Micah Wildauer, who is serving with LCMS World Missions in Togo, West Africa.  The members pledge monthly support which is gathered at the meetings, and sent to Mission Central, which sends it on to Missionary Wildauer. You do not need to be an LWML member to help in this support.  Please talk to Dianne Krueger (762-9257) or any LWML member to learn how to support this special mission.
We will have a meeting Tuesday, October 10 at 7:00pm.  We plan to tie at least one flannel blanket and pack and label all the boxes that will be delivered to the LWR Boxcar, on Saturday October 14.  All ladies are invited to attend the meeting and help with our projects.

PS Any member with a van or truck that could drive with an LWML member       to deliver the boxes, please call Ruth Krossin (559-4822)
Last but not least!  Please mark your calendars for the LWML Zone 1 Fall Rally.
It will be held at Grace Lutheran School, 8537 S. Pennsylvania Ave Oak Creek, WI.  It begins at 9am with a continental breakfast.  The speaker’s topic is ministering to the deaf in Milwaukee.  The Rally will end at 11.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  If you would like a ride, please call Dianne Krueger (762-9257)
